Alessandro FANTINI

Biography
Pupil of Antony Pay, he studied at the International Superior
Academy of Music in Italy achieving an International Superior Academic Diploma
with first-class degrees, for both Clarinet Soloist and Chamber Music studies.
Winner of many National and International Contests, he
attended various courses among which those of the "Chigiana" Musical
Academy in Siena, Courses of Chamber Music with Bruno Canino and Pier Narciso
Masi, and some of the most important Courses of Symphony Orchestra Performance.
He is considered one of the major Italian Clarinetists and
has collaborated with some of the most prestigious Opera Theaters and Symphony
Orchestras (such as Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Orchestra Filarmonica della
Scala, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, I Solisti Veneti,
etc.) playing with, among others, R.Muti,
Z.Mehta, G.Sinopoli, C.M.Giulini, G.Prêtre, S.Osawa, G.Solti, L.Maazel, K.Masur, W.Sawallisch,
M.W.Chung, N.Järvi, N.Marriner, R.Chailly, C.Hogwood, J.E.Gardiner, E.Inbal, Y.Temirkanov, M.Viotti, I.Karabtchevsky, J.Tate,
G.Bertini, D.Kitaenko, Y.Ahronovitch, P.Steinberg, C.Scimone, R.Barshai,
G.Albrecht, M.Benini, G.Rozhdestvensky, H.Soudant, A.Davis, D.Matheuz.
He also frequently performs as soloist and within chamber
music groups for concerts in Italy and abroad always winning warm consensus from
both the audience and the critics.
He takes Master Classes in Italy and abroad and he is
regularly invited as member of the jury in National
and international musical Auditions and Competitions.
He has been Principal Solo Clarinet of the "Gran Teatro La Fenice" Orchestra in
Venezia since 1995; within the Symphonic Seasons of the prestigious
Venetian Theater he has performed as Soloist the Clarinet Concerto
in A Kv622 by W.A.Mozart, the 1st Clarinet Concerto in f Op.73 by C.M.von Weber
and the Sinfonia Concertante for Oboe, Clarinet, Horn and Basson in Eb Kv297b by
W.A.Mozart.
In 2011 has performed, as Clarinet Soloist, during the
"Symphonicity World Tour" with Sting.
In 2013 join the Management of Teatro La Fenice di
Venezia Fundation, since 2020 as Artistic Area Manager.
